"Malaysia Boleh" was lauded by the whole country yesterday after grabbing their 1st ever ASEAn Football Federation(AFF) Cup yesterday. Though they lost 2-1 to Indonesia yesterday in the 2nd leg, but 3 goal advantage in 1st leg gave them the trophy with aggregate of 4-2.
95,000 Indonesian fans were there ate Stadium Bukarno, Jakarta with protection from 10,000 police force. They called themselves as "Garuda" and our boys were called "Harimau".
Kudos to K.Rajagobal, for forming such team with average age of only 23. We have never gone past the finals before and it was only once we made it to final, which was on 1996.
Malaysia were always labeled as underdogs has now became the "hunters" for glory. Though it was expected that Malaysia will receive tough fight from the home ground team as they have beaten us before 5-1 in group match, but "King"gobal's boys showed a matured game.
They even manage to stop the penalty kick which was offered to Indonesia. The 1st goal from Safee Saleh gave the Strong impact and confidence that the cup was already in Malaysia's hand.
At least the 2nd leg win would be a consolation for the Indonesians.
Now, we have won the SEA games and AFF Title. Now it's the next challenge wheter our boys can defend the glory.
