The electricity bill has been hiked by 100% to 150% on monthly basis, with the reason, the reader was not able to visit the houses during the MCO period. The minister stated that it's actually based on estimation and it could reduce during later months, once the actual calculation kicks in. In addition, the ministry offered installment payment.
Thereafter, the minister offered discount of RM77 per month to reduce the burden for 3 months (March to May).
Now the ministry offers further discount till December.
My question is, why can't the send the officers now as, the RMCO is not as strict as MCO. In addition, with smart meters, they should be able to read the bill from their location, without reaching house to house.
The minister is a Phd holder yet he stumbles compared to his oxford graduate predecessor.
