It's just not about Chong Wei.....

We have seen Lee Chong Wei playing 2nd fiddle yet again to great Dan. Excuses were said especially on the air-condition system. Lin Dan was even cramped after the price giving ceremony.

My question, Chong Wei had to take part in at least 5 tournaments before playing in world championship, wherelse, Lin Dan only played 1 tournament after London Olympics and before World Championship.

Age is no barrier for success, but adequate recovery is is crucial with proper rehabilitation.

But we also need to think who will be his successor. Chong Wei Feng and Daren Liew merely reached 3rd round when China already had 3 players in quarterfinals.

The 2nd best in the country, Daren Liew is not even at his peak when juniors like Ratchanok and PV Sindhu is already showing their stripes.

Going to coaches, when we said Good Bye to Rexy, he came to his home land and now they got 2 titles. So is it something wrong with the coach or with our players?

We have world number 2 whom didn't even pass quarterfinals, and world number 5 in mixed doubles whom didn't even pass 2nd round.

So BAM, rather than being tunnel vision on focusing on Chong Wei alone, it's really a time to be open minded and reduce egoism for betterment of the sports.

Else, we will be depending on 34 years old then, Chong wei for a gold medal in Brazil Olympics.
