Benefits of Drinking Ice water

I made a quick research about ice water as I was about to go into heated argument few days ago. So I decided, lets get the facts before arguing.

1.Ice water can deter the body to burn fat. Of course, cold things will freeze the fat, but you can always drink ice water after your exercise as u have already burn some fats and you wont be burning it till the day.

2. Even when you ave 45 degrees fever, the doctor will put you in ice room to bring down your temperature.

3. Just after your match or sports even, you will apply ice on your muscle to avoid flaming n also if its swollen. An ice bath will immediately reduce swelling while flushing lactic acid out of your body.

4. Ice water could be harm for teeth, yes, but you can overcome it by brushing your teeth with proper toothpaste and also toothbrush.

5. drinking cold water can help lower your temperature back to normal. This can be important in high heat or strong sun, when you risk heatstroke from strenuous exercise. In addition, cold water is absorbed more quickly into your body than warm water, helping you re-hydrate more quickly.

6.When you drink cold water, you will feel cold only for your throat and tongue  but not your stomach. It's because, when it reaches to those part of the body, it's already warmed up.

I have personally seen tennis players, drinking ice water during the game itself.

Finally, if you say cold water is bad, then, people in Scandinavian countries always feel cold

Mahathirsm failed

When Najib was said to be the follower of Mahathir, the former's influence were expected to be stronghold. Nevertheless, i didn't materialize, s his son Mukhriz lost the VP race. As expected Hishamudin and Shafie Apdal won, but the first to get the seat was Zahid.

Thus, all the incumbents are still there. When people are expecting for change, it didn't happen, as all the main heads are still the same.

Either GE14 must have real change, or we need another tsunami to wash out this people.

Putrajaya Night Marathon - 19 Oct'13

It's my first night race and 2nd half marathon for the year. Running in Putrajaya is always know for it's uphill task and humidity. I was there 2 hours before the race so that I could acclamatyse with the place.

My aim was to complete it with decent timing. As the race started on time, I was at the 5th row. Thus, when race started I manage to run and get out from the slow running group.

It was good that I drizzled at the beginning of the race and also at 8km. But that drizzle could not help to reduce the humidity. There were adequate water station and they gave banana at middle point. Perhaps Power Gel would have been better.

I really salute the marathon runners whom took the courage to finish the race although it was already past midnight. At every km after 10thkm. there were distance markers.

As I reached last 3km, my leg started to become heavy, and I had to slow down. Many runners overtook me, but I was not bothered as I just wanted to complete the race. Finally I saw the finishing lane, but couldn't realise it was so near, until I finished it.

Just after I finished the race, went to take my medal, followed by water station, t-shit, snacks and finally my bag. Thereafter I went back home.

Next race will be 2XU for 21km also.
