Rafa BenitezFinally, The exit door was shown to Rafa Benitez after leading the club for 6 seasons. With great achievement of winning the Champions League in 2004/2005 and reaching semifinals in 2007/2008 and also Europa Cup semifinals in 2009/2010. There were nothing else came from him especially not winning the elusive title of English Premier League during his tenure as manager.
During his term, as Spanish, he brought Luis Garcia, Xabi Alonso, Fernando Tores, Pepe Reina and Fernando Morientes from his home country. Apart. from it new stars were born, i.e Ryan Babel, Steven Gerard, Jamie Caragher, Dirk Kuyt, Peter Crouch and Craig Bellamy.
Now its time for an Englishman, Roy Hodgson to be the successor.
His mega achievement was bringing Fulham to the finals of Europa Cup before loosing in a slim margin to Athletico Madrid. he was also voted as manager of the year for 2009/2010.
Now there's talks going on that he may take charge of England team too for Euro 2012.
Looking at his experience: Halmstad (Sweden), Bristol City (England), Inter Milan (Italy) & Blackburn (England) and International experience with UAE, Switzerland and Finland.
Hope he can bring Liverpool to greater heights in coming seasons.
