I'm running for this event for the 4th consecutive time. They never failed to give a good medal, of course with good strap.
I don't know why, I reached there at 6.10am. even, the bomba people were not there. The bad part was, I had KFC the day before and felt very heat when I wake up. I didn't had breakfast as my dinner was heavy enough. Just had 2 cups of 100+ before heading to the venue.
When the race started, I tried to pace Guna, but later realised, he was quite fast, thus slowed down. That's where, Ronnie, Stanley and Chen Pong Pong over took me. I even went slower at bukit tunku and realised that even amateurs are overtaking me. Even Chantiran was overtaking me and heading in front.
Then the turning point came. At the water station, I grabbed two cups and realised Amutha was behind me. I just followed her pace. This made me to overtake at least 15runners. Then, at Parliament, I realise i was weak on uphill, but still pushed and left Amutha behind.
As the 7km group joined us, my momentum increased and just pushed myself. Came Dataran merdeka, I saw Nicolas Christ, main competitor for IAFG and just "sayur" him and another 5 runners at final 200M before the finishing line.
Though it was a decent timing, at least never touched sub 50.
