Mahathirsm failed
When Najib was said to be the follower of Mahathir, the former's influence were expected to be stronghold. Nevertheless, i didn't materialize, s his son Mukhriz lost the VP race. As expected Hishamudin and Shafie Apdal won, but the first to get the seat was Zahid.
Thus, all the incumbents are still there. When people are expecting for change, it didn't happen, as all the main heads are still the same.
Either GE14 must have real change, or we need another tsunami to wash out this people.

Putrajaya Night Marathon - 19 Oct'13
It's my first night race and 2nd half marathon for the year. Running in Putrajaya is always know for it's uphill task and humidity. I was there 2 hours before the race so that I could acclamatyse with the place.
My aim was to complete it with decent timing. As the race started on time, I was at the 5th row. Thus, when race started I manage to run and get out from the slow running group.
It was good that I drizzled at the beginning of the race and also at 8km. But that drizzle could not help to reduce the humidity. There were adequate water station and they gave banana at middle point. Perhaps Power Gel would have been better.
I really salute the marathon runners whom took the courage to finish the race although it was already past midnight. At every km after 10thkm. there were distance markers.
As I reached last 3km, my leg started to become heavy, and I had to slow down. Many runners overtook me, but I was not bothered as I just wanted to complete the race. Finally I saw the finishing lane, but couldn't realise it was so near, until I finished it.
Just after I finished the race, went to take my medal, followed by water station, t-shit, snacks and finally my bag. Thereafter I went back home.
Next race will be 2XU for 21km also.

Fail causers
If a organisation, country, company or team fails, it could be because of:
1. The officers whom are not doing their duty
2. The officers whom are misusing their power
3. The people whom are not allowing the officers to do their duty

Chin Peng Final Message
My final message รข€“ Chin Peng
September 21,
2013

pm
My dear comrades, my dear compatriots,
When you read this letter, I am no more in this world.
It was my original intention to pass away quietly and let my relatives
handle
the funeral matters in private. However, the repercussions of erroneous
media
reports of me in critical condition during October 2011, had persuaded me
that
leaving behind such a letter is desirable.
Ever since I joined the Communist Party of Malaya and eventually became
its
secretary-general, I have given both my spiritual and physical self in the
service of the cause that my party represented, that is, to fight for a
fairer
and better society based on socialist ideals. Now with my passing away, it
is
time that my body be returned to my family.
I draw immense comfort in the fact that my two children are willing to
take
care of me, a father who could not give them family love, warmth and
protection
ever since their birth. I could only return my love to them after I had
relinquished my political and public duties, ironically only at a time
when I
have no more life left to give to them as a father.
It was regrettable that I had to be introduced to them well advanced in
their
adulthood as a stranger. I have no right to ask them to understand, nor to
forgive. They have no choice but to face this harsh reality. Like families
of
many martyrs and comrades, they too have to endure hardship and suffering
not
out of their own doing, but out of a consequence of our decision to
challenge
the cruel forces in the society which we sought to change.
It is most unfortunate that I couldn't, after all, pay my last respects to
my
parents buried in hometown of Sitiawan (in Perak), nor could I set foot on
the
beloved motherland that my comrades and I had fought so hard for against
the
aggressors and colonialists.
My comrades and I had dedicated our lives to a political cause that we
believed in and had to pay whatever price there was as a result. Whatever
consequences on ourselves, our family and the society, we would accept
with
serenity.
In the final analysis, I wish to be remembered simply as a good man who
could
tell the world that he had dared to spend his entire life in pursuit of
his own
ideals to create a better world for his people.
It is irrelevant whether I succeeded or failed, at least I did what I did.
Hopefully the path I had walked on would be followed and improved upon by
the
young after me. It is my conviction that the flames of social justice and
humanity will never die. รข€“ September 21, 2013.

Division B Humorous Speech & Evaluation Contest 5 Oct'13
With 2nd place and 3rd place winners, contest chair, org.chair and division governor
A photo with Lalitha, future media personality
Time for interview after winning
Getting the Trophy from Division Governor Albert Chua
Showdown time
Finally after 8 years in Toastmasters I got 3 achievements. First, taking part in 2 contest at Division level at 1 go. Next, getting 2 podium finishing at 1 go also. Finally, Winning Evaluation title for the 1st time.
Preparing for 2 contest is already a challenge, and meeting expectation to get podium finishing was also added pressure.
For humorous, going against Nicole and Mirosha as a real task. They had support from their club members, where else, I felt I was like a lone ranger. Sometimes, being 1 man army is still good. At least, you have nobody to blame too. After the contest, I knew it will be 3 of us whom will be in top 3.
My main aim was not to get disqualified, and I knew my speech would not even touch red light. Good enough, I finished the speech within yellow light.
For both the contest, I was 6th contestant, when it came to evaluation, I was the final contestant. I was going against 2 time and defending champion, dennis, senior contestant, Thian Seng and rookie, Lily and Nicole.
When I was in the quarintine room, I was recalling senior member, Azmi Sharin's advise. He said, be open minded. Say what you like about the speech and what you think he can improve. That's it. I did it the same way.
People enjoyed it. I was nervous as I finished in red light.
When results was to be announced, Contest chair said, there was 1 time disqualification. I thought it was me. Results was announced, 3rd place was Lily, then....2nd place was Dennis Wee. I was like "What?". Then whose the champion? Nicole? Alex? It was S.Meyyappa Manickam !!!!!!!!!!!!
I stood up with shock and turned behind and saw Jamilah with shock....I was just wondering is it true.
When I received the trophy, Albert said, it was a great performance by me and I just hugged him.
This is my fist time, I won a contest without even witnessing other speakers.
Now it's time to perform at Ipoh Convention for District Contest. History should not repeat...
Arab vs Jew
An Arab needed a heart transplant, but prior to the surgery the doctors needed to store his blood type in case the need arises.
Because the gentleman had a rare type of blood, it couldn't be found locally. So the call went out to a number of countries.
Finally, a Jew was located who had the same blood type and who was willing
to donate his blood to the Arab.
After the surgery, the Arab sent the Jew a thank-you card for giving his
blood along with an expensive diamond and a new Rolls Royce car as a token of his appreciation.
Unfortunately, the Arab had to go through a corrective surgery once
again.. His doctors called the Jew who was more than happy to donate his
blood again, believing he will receive more gifts from the Arab again.
After the second surgery, the Arab sent the Jew a Thank You card and a box
of Almond Roca sweets.
The Jew was shocked to see that the Arab this time did not acknowledge the
Jew's kind gesture in the same way as he had done the first time.
So he phoned the Arab and asked him why he had expressed his appreciation in not a very generous manner.
The Arab replied: "Ya Habibi !!, (Dear Friend) you have to remember, I
have Jewish blood now!"

I completed it finally
It was my 4th marathon. The humidity was high as after 500M of warm up I was sweating. While the race started, my target was to do better than last year. went on a slow pace. Even meet up with my Toastmasters friends Victor and Ron.
The group was big at the beginning, thereafter, it became smaller as the distance goes further.
Me and Victor was pacing each other till 30th km. There after i took breaks at water stations to stretch myself.
There were enough distance markers and water stations. They even had 2 power gell station and also banana stations.
As I reached Jalan Kuching, the tiredness was there and it was only 8km left. Upon reaching Bkt Tunku, the actual disaster started, climbing the hill. Manage to push through by jog and run.
Finally reaching, Jalan Raja Laut, we mixed with 10km and 5km runners and we were blocked by them. We had to push through all of them and finally reached the finishing line. My timing was 5:08 which was better than last year's timing of 5:30.
- I had merely mileage of 20km per week
- I had fall from bike just 2 days before the event
- my colleague told me if i can run with my big stomach
- another colleague told me that I will come back via ambulance
But all this I took it as a pinch of salt and made it through to the finishing lane.
It's all mind over matter.
Word throwers
We often get angry with people whom we don't like. That's common. But what if we got angry and cursed/scolded and yelled at people whom we like but , just because of the wrong doing.
My neighbour sometimes beats the dog, but it still goes to him again and again. It's just a sign of love. But when the dog died, he cried.
That's where, never ever throw bad words or harsh words to your good friends/mates, as you may need them again when you are at down.
a stone thrown can be recaptured but not the words.
