What a bad day for me
Yesterday, I went to airport and on the way back I took Damansara Exit and it was 9.30am. Normally, I will take Jln Duta exit, but I wanted to save in the toll. But I ended up 45 minutes in the jam after the toll. It was just 1km, but the jam was heavy although it was already 10am.
This caused me to go to work late and I was suppose to handle a interview, but ended up my colleague handled it.
Then I went to post office to send courier but the system was offline. Damn..
At evening, I had Toastmasters discussion in a restaurant at Jln Gasing. When I reached UH, my tyre got punctured. So I had to go and repair it. Then, It started to rain heavily and I got soaked.
I thought today will be a better one. But it was another agony. I meet with accident and got deep cut on my left finger. So got sticthes. Normally I will wear the gloves, but because of the rain yesterday, it got wet, so I went without the gloves. I couldn't go to work and spoil my whole day. I just told the driver that "I'm sorry, my mistake, I will pay". The blood from my finger was flowing as if you squeezed water from the sponge. I gave him my mobile number and asked me to contact when everything was done.
Luckily there's no fracture as I did not fall from the bike and just injured my fingers.

R.I.P. Withney Houston - The R&B Lady
"I Will Always Love You" - I got to know her through this song. He vocal is strong when many ladies has soft voice. At her peak, Whitney Houston was the golden girl of the music industry. From the middle 1980s to the late 1990s, she was one of the world's best-selling artists. She wowed audiences with effortless, powerful, and peerless vocals that were rooted in the black church but made palatable to the masses with a pop sheen. Her rocky marriage life with Bobby Brown, made her to move into drugs which finally caused her life.
She was found dead in a Luxury hotel (Beverly Hill Hotel), Los Angeles at bath tub in her room. Some said she was drowned. But sources quoted that she died even before the head went into the water. She mixed drugs into alcohol and consumed it. As usual, when you consume alcohol, there will be less water in your body and for her, there were not enough water in the lungs which cost her life.
Her success carried her beyond music to movies, where she starred in hits like "The Bodyguard" and "Waiting to Exhale."
She had the he perfect voice, and the perfect image: a gorgeous singer who had sex appeal but was never overtly sexual, who maintained perfect poise. She influenced a generation of younger singers, from Christina Aguilera to Mariah Carey, who when she first came out sounded so much like Houston that many thought it was Houston.

Pulling the horn to get the milk
Sometimes, we complain that we don't get what we wanted although the request has been submitted. But have you ever wondered, whether you asked the right person, the right question?
Just imagine, you want to know average sales quantity per month of a carbonated drink producer and you throw the question to Human Resources dept. The HR personnel may give you a figure but it maybe invalid. Then you move to finance dept and ask the same question, and that personnel gives you another figure. Then you move to legal dept and ask the same question again. If the personnel answers that will be good, else..
But, soon meeting these 3 dept personnel and getting 3 types of figures/answers, do you fell satisfied or complain that you tried hard but no proper results. The fault is on you because you didn't ask the right question to right person.
It's something that I witnessed recently in my Toastmasters experience, when someone would like to have some info but, ended with wrong info. Hahaha.
When you want to get the milk from the cow, no matter how hard you pull, you will still not get the milk, I mean pulling the horn.

Massimo vs Gardenia
Gardenia used to buy the flour from FFM Berhad (company owned by Robert Kwok). Till beginning of last year, Gardenia was bought over by Bernas (GLC-owned by Albukhari), and they have changed their flour provider to Malayan Flour Mills and Prestasi Flour Mills. Both mills are UMNO related company. But the reason they gave was "due to reputation purpose".
Thus, Robert Kwok decided to have his own bread company. In order for them to match the quality and reputation, they bought the franchise from Italy which is Massimo.
Indirectly, the goverment is triying to reduce the wealth of Robert Kwok (whom is still number 1 richest man in Malaysia) and get the UMNO related rich man to the top.
That's how the chronism came about.

Proton gets new Owner
Finally, it's resolved that DRB Hicom will be the new shareholder of Proton after Khazanah Nasional sold their shares to them.
Now its up to DRB Hicom, whether they want to revive the image of the company which is running on a loss though it's a cash cow.
Furthermore, we just wonder, if they can produce a car which is equavalent to Honda or Toyota.
